This is an old revision of the document!
A friend tells me of a childhood story where lead is melted on a spoon, then poured into an aluminum bowl filled with water held over the head of the person believed to be haunted. The head is covered in a see-through linen. DSomemes the whole person is covered in the linen.
This process is repeated three times until the harm is gone, and the shape of the lead in the water is seen as the spectre.
It is called in Turkish KURŞUN DÖKMEK (lead pouring).

Salt, rice, and sugar is also somehow used. The woman breaks a piece off to give the man. Others write that this piece, known as a heart or tear of lead, should be kept for a month under a pillow and then throw it down a river. Another idea is that the process captures the person's negative (electric) energy.
Lead pouring is also a New Years tradition in European countries including Finland (http://www.anniarts.com/lead-pouring.html) and Germany, where its called Bleigiessen (http://www.mrshea.com/germusa/customs/bleimean.htm)
